Assisting Thailand! The Unsung Hero of Pandemic - Avilon's Automated Medicine Delivery Drone
Updated: Apr 21
avilon intelligence developed a breakthrough UAV transportation system at the onset of the 2019 pandemic. It combines automation technology &remote control features to greatly simplify transportation processes. Originally designed for medicine delivery, the system later became an essential tool for the Thai public health sector to transport goods during the city lockdown period.
Between 2 buildings in the Phanomsarakham Hospital in Thailand, avilon's UAV transported medicine back and forth, carrying vital drugs that could mean the difference between life and death. Due to the vast area of the hospital, when one building needed emergency medicine, the drone could quickly deliver it using the shortest aerial route, avoiding the tragedy of emergency medication being delayed due to the traffic jams. During the city lockdown period, the Thai Department of Pubilc Health used this logistic system to deliver goods, alleviating the shortage of medical and essential supplies in the area.
